Bookkeeper (Full or Part time) – Accounting firm Hitchin, Hertfordshire £30,000 to £38,000 (FTE) Butler Rose, public practice is pleased to be supporting a well-established firm of chartered accountants based in Central Hitchin that are keen to recruit a highly capable accountancy practice experienced Bookkeeper on either a full or part time basis (3 days per week). Role Requirements – Working in a professional accountancy practice environment, you will have proven experience of supporting a diverse client portfolio with a range of accounting requirements as well as being highly proficient in the use of cloud-based software such as XERO, Quickbooks and Sage. Daily bookkeeping – bank reconciliations, sales and purchase invoice processing using XERO, Sage and Quickbooks Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns using CCH End to end payroll administration for clients of varying frequencies using Ernie (IRIS payroll software) Basic year end accounts production using CCH where required Liaising with clients to obtain data and on their behalf with the HMRC Person Requirements – AAT or QBE bookkeeper with at least 3+ years’ experience working within accountancy practice Strong IT skills and knowledge of cloud accounting systems in particular Xero, Quickbooks, Sage Excellent communication skills especially when liaising with clients This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to join this outstanding firm of choice.
