The Opportunity
Joining a high-performing team, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of accurate and insightful financial information alongside senior stakeholders. This is a varied position offering exposure to management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and process improvement, making it ideal for someone keen to progress and build strong technical and commercial expertise. Working within a collaborative and forward-thinking business, you'll gain hands-on experience across financial reporting, systems and stakeholder engagement, with genuine opportunities to broaden your experience. Hybrid working – 3 days WFH.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of monthly management accounts including accruals and prepayments.
- Assist with budgeting and reforecasting processes, including detailed variance analysis.
- Produce accurate and timely financial reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Complete balance sheet and P&L reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and control.
- Support cost analysis initiatives to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems and processes.
- Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to the wider finance team.
The Candidate
- Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA) or AAT/QBE (or equivalent), with experience in a similar finance role.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation).
- Experience working with financial systems (SAP or similar ERP advantageous).
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive, organised and able to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid experience within reconciliations, with exposure to balance sheet reconciliations and P&L reporting preferred.
- Proven ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and manage competing priorities.
