Accounts SeniorRomford£36,000 – £42,000
An established and growing accountancy practice in Romford is looking to strengthen its team with the addition of an Accounts Senior. The role will be a varied mix of management accounts/ outsourcing work and preparing year-end statutory accounts for a diverse client base. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious accountant who enjoys client interaction, variety and taking ownership of work, while being part of a supportive and friendly team.
Role Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients.
- Support clients with bookkeeping, VAT returns and other outsourced finance functions.
- Prepare statutory year-end accounts in compliance with UK GAAP and Companies Act requirements.
- Liaise directly with clients, building strong relationships and providing valuable financial insights.
- Work closely with other departments (tax, payroll, audit) to ensure joined-up client service.
- Supervise and support junior members of staff where required.
Personal Requirements
- ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified, or qualified by experience in practice.
- Strong background in both management accounts and statutory accounts preparation.
- Good working knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting.
- Proficient with accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage) and Excel.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain financial information clearly.
- Organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple deadlines.
