Butler Rose is delighted to be working with a well-established, independent accountancy practice based in Coventry. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Accounts & Audit Senior to strengthen their accounts and audit compliance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, growing practice that offers a broad client base, a friendly working environment, and strong progression opportunities.
Role Overview:
- Leading and supporting on audit assignments – planning, fieldwork, and completion (around 50% of the role)
- Preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax computations, and returns for limited companies and groups
- Preparing management accounts and VAT returns
- Accounts preparation for partnerships and sole traders, including draft income tax computations
- Handling ad hoc assignments to meet client needs
- Building strong client relationships
- Supervising, supporting, and training junior team members
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 5 years practice experience, with at least 2 years at audit senior level
- Confident handling audits and accounts for a varied client portfolio
- AAT / ACCA / ACA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Strong IT skills and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work to deadlines, manage budgets, and use initiative
- Someone who thrives in a team-focused environment and enjoys mentoring others
