Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be working with an independent accountancy firm in Royston in their search for an Accounts Manager to join their team. You will take ownership of a significant client portfolio and play a key role in the delivery of services across accounts, tax and advisory. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong, ambitious individual who enjoys managing client relationships, leading teams and being part of a supportive environment which values work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of a client portfolio
- Reviewing statutory accounts prepared under FRS 102/105
- Overseeing and reviewing corporation tax, personal tax and VAT returns
- Providing advisory support including tax planning and business consultancy
- Line managing and mentoring junior and mid-level staff
- Supporting partners with department development and workflow management
- Attending client meetings and building long-term relationships
Requirements:
- ACA or ACCA qualified (Non-negotiable)
- Minimum of 5 years extensive experience in a UK accountancy practice
