Butler Rose Public is delighted to be working with a well-established, medium-sized Top 50 accountancy and tax advisory firm based in Central Watford, currently experiencing sustained growth and continued investment in its people and services. As part of the Watford-based tax team, you will play a key role in supporting the firm's ongoing growth and delivering exceptional service to clients.
Role Requirements
- Working closely with Tax Principals and colleagues to achieve team and client objectives
- Building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored advice
- Preparing complex personal, partnership and trust tax returns
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and providing guidance and support
- Identifying tax planning opportunities and assisting with the implementation of agreed strategies
- Managing and responding to HMRC enquiries and compliance reviews
- Collaborating with other teams and senior stakeholders across the firm on ad-hoc advisory assignments
Personal Requirements
- CTA qualified with 2+ years post-qualification experience in a similar personal tax focused managerial or supervisory role.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to mentor and supervise junior staff
- Experience managing a client portfolio, taking ownership of compliance and advisory matters
- Solid IT skills, with familiarity with Digita tax software advantageous
- Up-to-date technical knowledge supported by recent training and hands-on experience
- Clear and confident communication skills with both clients and colleagues
