Mixed Tax Manager - Growing Firm of Chartered AccountantsHitchin, Hertfordshire£60,000 - £80,000 DOE

Butler Rose is partnering with a friendly well-established, accountancy practice to recruit a Mixed Tax Manager to join their team, supporting a diverse portfolio of private clients and corporate tax clients across multiple sectors.

This is an excellent position of a qualified Tax Professional already in a managerial role and looking to maintain a diverse client portfolio and tax exposure. Well-suited to someone who enjoys having autonomy of the tax offering and looking to assist with growing a company's tax service line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manager client portfolio of 200 personal tax clients as well as handling portfolio of corporate tax clients on a project basis.
  • Oversee the personal tax compliance process, including drafting and reviewing Self-Assessment tax returns.
  • Provide tailored personal tax planning advice on areas such as income structuring, capital gains, inheritance tax, and residency matters.
  • Oversee corporate tax compliance and advisory necessary for projects.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues in other departments to deliver joined-up, comprehensive client solutions.
  • Develop and nurture strong client relationships, acting as a trusted adviser and key point of contact.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members, ensuring high standards of quality, accuracy, and professional growth.

Requirements

  • CTA (Ideal) or ACA, ACCA qualification.
  • 5+ years' experience in personal tax advisory and compliance work.
  • Solid technical understanding of UK personal tax legislation.
  • Sound experience in UK corporate tax
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to manage client relationships.
  • Capable of handling multiple deadlines and prioritising work effectively.
  • Software used (beneficial): TaxCalc, Carbon
