Butler Rose is exclusively supporting the search for a Tax Accountant to join a well‑established, forward‑thinking organisation based in Milton Keynes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone considering their first move from practice into industry, offering genuine breadth, exposure and long‑term development.
Working closely with an experienced Head of Tax, you will play a key role across a wide range of tax matters, with a strong focus on VAT and partial exemption. The position offers a balanced mix of compliance, reporting and advisory work, alongside involvement in year‑end processes and audit support.
Some of the duties include:
- Managing VAT, corporation tax and wider tax compliance processes
- Supporting tax planning, forecasting and cashflow considerations
- Advising internal stakeholders on tax implications of new activities and transactions
- Assisting with statutory accounts and audit requirements from a tax perspective
- Monitoring changes in tax legislation and assessing business impact
About you:
- ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified (or equivalent)
- Strong grounding in tax, particularly VAT
- Able to communicate complex concepts clearly to non‑specialists
- Motivated, collaborative and keen to develop within a commercial environment
