You will play a key role in shaping the strategy and direction of the private client tax function while building strong relationships with clients.
Role Responsibilities
- Provide expert tax advice and guidance to clients, managing compliance and planning projects effectively.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of tax professionals, ensuring high standards and consistent service delivery.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation and regulations to inform clients and the team.
- Act as the primary client contact in the absence of partners, ensuring excellent client service.
- Identify and develop business opportunities within the private client sector, including attending seminars and building referral networks.
- Review and sign-off high-risk tax returns and related documents.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Support recruitment, training, and development of team members to build long-term capability.

Personal Requirements
- CTA-qualified or equivalent (ACA, ACCA) with significant experience in a practice environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop colleagues.
- Commercially aware with proven business development experience.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Adaptable and able to respond effectively to changing client and business needs.
- Experience with CCH software is desirable but not essential.
