Butler Rose is delighted to be working alongside a leading organisation within the healthcare sector who are seeking an experienced Buyer to join their Strategic Procurement team based in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a full-time permanent opportunity offering hybrid working (2 days in the office) and a salary of up to £32,073 per annum.
This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional to manage a diverse contract portfolio and support effective commercial decision-making within a complex operational environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement requirements across multiple service areas, ensuring value for money, compliance, and effective supplier management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of contracts and procurement activities.
- Lead procurement requirements for projects valued over £20,000.
- Support the delivery of strategic procurement objectives.
- Work with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective sourcing solutions.
- Manage supplier relationships and support contract performance.
- Ensure procurement processes are compliant with relevant regulations and organisational policies.
- Provide commercial advice and support across a range of operational areas.
Requirements
- Previous procurement experience at Buyer level or similar.
- Experience managing procurement processes and supplier relationships.
- Strong understanding of contract management and sourcing activities.
- Ability to work with stakeholders across different functions.
- Procurement experience within the public sector is desirable but not essential.
- Candidates from private sector backgrounds with relevant procurement experience are encouraged to apply.
