Whether you're an experienced Semi Senior looking to take the next step or an established Senior seeking a collaborative environment with excellent career prospects, this role offers exposure to a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, alongside full study support through 1st Intuition and genuine long-term progression.

THE ROLE

You'll manage a varied portfolio of clients, preparing accounts and tax work while building strong client relationships and becoming a trusted adviser to owner-managed businesses with turnovers ranging from start-ups through to approximately Β£3 million or beyond.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing year-end statutory accounts
  • Preparing management accounts
  • Corporation tax computations and returns
  • Personal tax returns and self-assessment
  • VAT returns
  • Bookkeeping where required
  • Liaising directly with clients and HMRC
  • Responding to client queries and providing day-to-day accounting support
  • Managing your workload to ensure deadlines are consistently achieved

ABOUT YOU

To be successful, you'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
  • The ability to prepare complete sets of draft accounts with minimal supervision
  • Good knowledge of corporation tax, management accounts, bookkeeping duties, personal tax and VAT
  • Strong experience using cloud accounting software, particularly Xero and QuickBooks
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build lasting client relationships
  • A proactive attitude with the ability to hit the ground running
  • Part Qualified, qualified or qualified by experience
