Butler Rose is exclusively recruiting an exciting Finance Manager opportunity to join a well-established business in East Devon. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of the monthly management accounts, lead a small finance team, and play a key role in developing systems and processes. This role offers genuine progression, with the potential to succeed the Head of Finance as part of their succession plan. This role could be 4 or 5 days per week so we are open to candidates seeking slightly reduced hours.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Prepare consolidated monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow reports
- Lead and develop the finance team
- Produce budgets, forecasts, and financial commentary for senior management
- Manage VAT returns, P11Ds, statutory accounts, and external audit
- Oversee cash management and supplier payments
- Act as ERP system Super User and improve reporting processes
- Build strong relationships across the business and deputise for the Head of Finance
About You:
- Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong management and statutory accounting experience
- Skilled in VAT, Excel, and financial systems (ERP experience desirable)
- Excellent communicator and team leader
- Proactive, organised, and eager to learn
