We are partnering with a well-established, independent accountancy firm in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire. With a small, friendly, close-knit team of 10 staff - including qualified ACA/ACCA accountants, CTA tax specialists, and two ACA trainees - the firm has been trading for over 30 years. Having successfully acquired two further practices in the last four years, they continue to grow steadily, offering a wealth of varied experience across accountancy, taxation, and client management.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant to take ownership of their own client portfolio while contributing to the firm's continued growth.
You’ll Be Doing:
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and statutory accounts for sole traders and limited companies.
- Completing VAT returns and personal and corporation tax submissions.
- Handling capital gains tax matters where applicable.
- Managing your own client portfolio with confidence, providing practical advice and support.
- Supporting junior team members where necessary and liaising directly with clients.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice (Semi-Senior or Senior level).
- Ideally AAT qualified and either part-way through ACA/ACCA or newly qualified.
- Hands-on experience managing and building client relationships.
- Strong working knowledge of cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Professional, proactive, and able to work independently within a small, collaborative team.
