The predicted salary is between 14 - 14 £ per hour.

We are recruiting for a QA Technician, or a Production Operative (with food industry experience) to join a well-established food manufacturing business in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous food manufacturing quality experience to join a busy technical team on a long-term temporary contract, with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate. If you do not possess quality experience then you will still be considered if you have good production experience in an FMCG industry (training will be provided).

This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in maintaining food safety, quality, and compliance standards across production operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine quality assurance checks
  • Complete GMP audits across production areas
  • Carry out pre-start checks
  • Verify labels and packing specifications
  • Monitor CCPs and quality control points
  • Support product traceability activities
  • Perform hygiene verification checks
  • Raise and report non-conformances
  • Provide general support to the Technical team as required
About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing QA or food quality position
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, allergen management and food safety standards
  • Experience completing and reviewing production and quality documentation
  • Confidence to challenge non-compliance and promote best practice on the factory floor
  • Excellent attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills
  • Reliable attendance and the ability to commute to the Plymouth site consistently
