Interim Finance Manager role in Plymouth for 3-6 months. We are looking for an experienced and people-focused Finance Manager to lead a team of 7 during a key period of delivery and improvement. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on bringing the team together, creating clarity of direction, and ensuring the right systems and processes are in place for consistent performance.
You will be responsible for aligning the team around a shared purpose, supporting individuals to work effectively together, and making sure agreed processes are followed so work is delivered smoothly and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, motivate and manage a team of 7, creating a positive and collaborative working environment
- Bring the team together around a clear common purpose and shared goals
- Ensure systems and processes are in place, understood and consistently followed
- Monitor performance and address issues quickly and constructively
- Support individuals through regular check-ins, coaching and clear communication
- Identify and implement practical improvements to ways of working
- Act as a point of escalation and decision-making for the team
- Provide clear reporting and updates to senior stakeholders
