A well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice based in Essex is seeking an experienced Tax Senior or Semi-Senior to join their expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid practice experience to work closely with senior management and take on a varied and client-facing role.
Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including high-net-worth individuals, directors, self-employed professionals, subcontractors, and partnerships.
- Prepare personal tax returns and accounts for self-employed clients and partnerships.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing clear and professional communication.
- Support senior team members with ad hoc advisory projects.
- Handle Capital Gains Tax matters and experience with 60-day advance property filings.
- Liaise directly with HMRC on client matters.
- Prepare P11D forms and related compliance work.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years' experience in a busy tax practice environment.
- Strong practical knowledge of personal tax regulations.
- Confident with IT systems commonly used in tax preparation and reporting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable in client-facing situations and confident when engaging with stakeholders.
- Proactive, well-organised, and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
