Management Accountant
Location: Okehampton
Salary: Up to £38,000
Working hours: Full‑time. Office based.
We are supporting a client in Okehampton with the recruitment of a Management Accountant. The organisation is entering an exciting phase of investment, refurbishment, and growth, creating an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to make a real impact within a dynamic and evolving environment.
About the Role
As Management Accountant, you will play a key role within the on-site finance team, supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting, business planning, and operational decision-making. You will work closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business, helping to drive financial performance and support future growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts, including commentary
- Accruals, prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Weekly supplier payment runs and bank reconciliations
- Completing monthly payroll reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Monitoring cash flow, budgets, and forecasts
- Supporting the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
- Producing ad hoc financial analysis and reports to support decision‑making
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience working as a Management Accountant desirable
- AAT Level 4 qualified or equivalent
- Confident presenting financial information to a variety of audiences
- Competent user of Excel
- Ability to reliably commute to and from Okehampton
