Butler Rose Northern Practice Division is delighted to be working with a highly regarded independent accountancy and business advisory firm who are recruiting for a VAT & Indirect Tax Manager to join their growing tax consultancy team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist in delivering complex VAT advisory projects alongside the Senior Manager, managing your own portfolio of clients.
- Proactively identify new planning and advisory opportunities from your client base.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation, case law, and guidance that affect VAT and indirect tax, and assess their impact on client businesses.
- Manage projects effectively, ensuring deadlines are met and that both time and budget expectations are adhered to.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, business partners, and intermediaries to raise the firm's profile in the market.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager to identify and develop business development opportunities within the VAT and indirect tax space.
- The firm is looking for a highly motivated individual who can drive growth in their VAT advisory services.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in VAT advisory, with a proven track record of working across a variety of sectors.
- Strong technical knowledge of VAT and indirect taxes, with the ability to advise on complex matters.
- Commercially minded, with the ability to manage your workload effectively and help guide more junior team members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike.
