Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a growing and long-established independent accountancy practice in the recruitment of Senior Accountant/Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on practice professional to manage their own portfolio while managing the accounts team and an offshoring team. The role would suit either an experienced Manager or a Senior Accountant looking for a managerial role.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a client portfolio, primarily sole traders and small limited companies
- Prepare and review accounts, personal tax returns, VAT, CIS, bookkeeping, and MTD requirements
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, building strong long-term relationships
- Manage and support the accounts team as well as an outsourced team
- Reviewing work and ensure workflow management
- Reporting directly into Senior Manager and Managing Director
- Work across TaxCalc, Quickbooks and cloud-based accounting software platforms
Key Requirements
- ACCA/ACA qualified (PQ or QBE candidates are encouraged to apply)
- Strong experience within an accountancy practice environment operating a managerial role
- Previous experience managing a team (managing an offshore team is highly beneficial)
- Confident managing a client portfolio and being client-facing
- Experience across accounts, personal tax, VAT, bookkeeping, and CIS
- Knowledge of TaxCalc, Quickbooks, Xero & Sage
- Organised, approachable, and hands-on in your working style
