A great career opportunity exists for an experienced Payroll & Bookkeeping Assistant to join a very friendly and busy team within an established firm in York on a FULL TIME basis offering great benefits and working environment.
If you are seeking to join a friendly and progressive payroll department working autonomously running your own full end to end payrolls within an easy-going but professional environment — this is for you!
The successful candidate should possess previous end to end payroll processing experience processing multiple payrolls on a weekly/fortnightly/monthly basis and be ready to step up into this fulfilling and autonomous role!
Role Responsibilities- Engaging as a proactive member of a small team, dealing with small and large multiple interval payrolls in a timely manner and accurate processing of both small and large volume payrolls via Brightpay (training can be provided)
- RTI submissions and HMRC liaison
- Processing SSP/SMP
- Auto enrolment/pensions
- Resolving payroll queries
- Supporting additional team members as required
- Process starters/leavers P45/P46/P60s
- CIS/EPS
- Bookkeeping/accounts duties (training can be provided if no experience!)
- Ideally knowledge of Brightpay payroll software
- Experience within a full end to end payroll/payroll bureau/inhouse payroll role.
- Knowledge and experience of bookkeeping/accounts duties (training can be provided on this aspect of the role)
- Strong organisation and high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
