Role Responsibilities
- Preparation of statutory accounts for a wide range of SME and owner-managed business clients.
- Involvement in audit assignments from planning through to completion, both on-site and in-house.
- Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax computations and returns.
- Supporting bookkeeping and management accounts preparation where required.
- Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and assisting with their development.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Ensuring work is completed to a high standard, within deadlines and budgets.
- Liaising with managers and partners on client matters and assignments.
Personal Requirements
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified or newly qualified.
- Recent experience within an accountancy practice in a mixed audit and accounts role.
- Exposure to a broad range of clients across different sectors.
- Good working knowledge of accounting standards and compliance requirements.
- Experience using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and Excel.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments.
- Confident communicator with a proactive and professional approach.
- A team player with strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
