Butler Rose are pleased to be recruiting for a well-established, multi-partner accountancy firm based in Blackburn, known for its strong regional presence, varied client base and clear progression opportunities within audit.
This role would suit an experienced Audit Senior who is looking to take the next step within a structured yet supportive audit team, or an existing Supervisor/Assistant Manager. The firm works with a broad portfolio of SME, OMB and corporate clients across a range of sectors, offering high-quality, technically interesting audit work without the corporate feel of a large national firm.
Duties
- Planning, leading and completing statutory audits from planning through to completion
- Managing audits on-site and acting as the main point of contact for clients during the audit process
- Reviewing work prepared by Audit Seniors and Semi Seniors
- Supporting and mentoring junior members of the audit team
- Assisting Managers and Partners with audit completion, reporting and client matters
- Ensuring audits are delivered to budget and in line with UK auditing standards
What we’re looking for
- ACA or ACCA qualified (or finalist with strong experience)
- Strong audit background within an accountancy practice
- Experience leading audits and supervising junior staff
- Confident communicator with a client-facing approach
- Well organised with the ability to manage multiple assignments
