Role Responsibilities

  • Support audit engagements by completing assigned audit testing and fieldwork.
  • Gather and document audit evidence in line with professional standards.
  • Complete audit sections under supervision, including journals, goodwill, stock, investments, related parties, and going concern reviews.
  • Prepare clear and meaningful audit highlights for manager and partner review.
  • Identify anomalies, control weaknesses, and areas of risk, escalating where appropriate.
  • Communicate professionally with clients to request information and resolve basic queries.
  • Assist with identifying process improvements and efficiencies within assignments.
  • Ensure work is completed within budget and agreed deadlines.
  • Use audit and accounting software effectively to complete assignments.
  • Support team members through collaboration, coaching, and knowledge sharing.
  • Continue developing technical knowledge and awareness of regulatory changes.

Personal Requirements

  • Currently studying towards or qualified by experience in ACA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment.
  • Understanding of audit processes, accounting principles, and double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
