We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Manager to take full ownership of the finance function within this organisation. This is a role suited to a QBE Accountant and ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, responsibility, and being a trusted business partner to senior leadership. The role is available on 4 days a week, permanent with some hybrid working. The role is not remote.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all financial activities, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and insightful analysis to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Full responsibility for the finance function, including month-end and year-end processes
- Preparation of management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
- Cashflow management and financial planning
- VAT returns and statutory compliance
- Managing relationships with external accountants, auditors, and HMRC
- Developing and maintaining financial controls and processes
- Providing financial insight and support to senior management
About you
- Proven experience in a similar Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role
- Comfortable working independently in a stand-alone position
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to explain financial information clearly
- Part qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or qualified by experience
