Butler Rose is delighted to be supporting a well-established and fast-paced organisation in their search for a Finance Assistant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to build strong all-round accounts experience within a collaborative and supportive environment.
The Role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, the Finance Assistant will support both client-related and office accounting activities, ensuring accurate processing, reconciliations and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Accounts
- Undertake daily banking activities, including daily reconciliations
- Prepare and process cheques
- Process transactions
- Support internal stakeholders with ledger queries
- Assist with the annual regulatory accounts audit
- Undertake daily banking activities, including daily reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly management accounts pack
- Support the annual audit process
- Manage petty cash and credit card transactions
- Maintain the creditors ledger
- Produce ad hoc reports as required
The Ideal Candidate
You will be a proactive and reliable team player with strong communication skills and the ability to remain flexible and adaptable in a busy, high-pressure environment. You will also bring:
- Studying towards a recognised accounting qualification
- Experience working within a busy accounts or finance team
- Working knowledge of Xero
- Good Excel skills
