Butler Rose are delighted to be working with a well‑established food production business based in the Exeter area to recruit a Sales Support Administrator on a part‑time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment, supporting a busy sales team and playing a key role in ensuring a smooth and professional customer experience.

Working hours: 25 hours per week across 5 days (flexible but ideally 9:30am-2:30pm or 10:00am-3:00pm)

The Role

This is a varied and hands‑on support position where you will act as a central point of contact between customers, sales, and supply chain. You'll need to be highly organised, proactive, and confident managing queries and resolving issues quickly.

  • Supporting customer order fulfilment
  • Investigating delivery or order issues and coordinating solutions with internal teams and external couriers
  • Keeping customers and account managers fully updated on order progress
  • Supporting new product launches by ensuring availability aligns with customer timelines
  • Managing sample requests from end to end, including coordinating logistics and delivery
  • Becoming the go‑to person for navigating and supporting retail customer portals
  • Producing regular sales reports using customer portals (volume, value, wastage, distribution)
  • Creating product performance reports using internal systems and presenting insights to the sales team

About You

We're looking for someone who is commercially aware, detail‑oriented, and confident dealing with customers in a fast‑moving environment. You will ideally have:

  • Strong business awareness and commercial understanding
  • Experience within order fulfilment or a similar operational process
  • Proven customer service experience, including handling queries and resolving issues
  • The ability to manage challenging situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
  • Experience producing and analysing data, with the ability to present findings clearly
