Whether you're an experienced Semi Senior looking to take the next step or an established Senior seeking a collaborative environment with excellent career prospects, this role offers exposure to a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, alongside full study support through 1st Intuition and genuine long-term progression.
THE ROLE
You'll manage a varied portfolio of clients, preparing accounts and tax work while building strong client relationships and becoming a trusted adviser to owner-managed businesses with turnovers ranging from start-ups through to approximately £3 million or beyond. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing year-end statutory accounts
- Preparing management accounts
- Corporation tax computations and returns
- Personal tax returns and self-assessment
- VAT returns
- Bookkeeping where required
- Liaising directly with clients and HMRC
- Responding to client queries and providing day-to-day accounting support
- Managing your workload to ensure deadlines are consistently achieved
ABOUT YOU
To be successful, you'll ideally have:
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice
- The ability to prepare complete sets of draft accounts with minimal supervision
- Good knowledge of corporation tax, management accounts, bookkeeping duties, personal tax and VAT
- Strong experience using cloud accounting software, particularly Xero and QuickBooks
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to build lasting client relationships
- A proactive attitude with the ability to hit the ground running
- Part Qualified, qualified or qualified by experience
