On behalf of our client, Butler Rose are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join a well-established and growing company at their head office in the Blackpool area.
Are you experienced in payroll and accounts and looking for a reliable, office-based position where you can take ownership of your work and be part of a close-knit team? What You'll Be Doing:
- Running weekly payroll (approx. 70 employees) and monthly payroll using Sage 50 Payroll
- Managing PAYE, pensions, RTI submissions, SSP, P11Ds, and HMRC processes
- Processing purchase ledger and sales ledger transactions using Sage 200
- Handling project accounting, bank reconciliations, cashbook posting, and BACS payments
- Assisting with month-end processes: accruals, prepayments, VAT returns, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Providing general support to the finance team on ad-hoc tasks
What We're Looking For:
- Solid experience using Sage 50 Payroll and Sage 200 Accounts
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently
- Good working knowledge of Excel and Word (intermediate level)
- A confident communicator and reliable team player
