Butler Rose Finance Lancashire & Cumbria are delighted to be working with one of our long-standing clients to recruit a Management Accountant into a key role within their finance function. This opportunity would suit a developing finance professional who already has some exposure to management accounts and is now looking to progress their career within a business that genuinely invests in its people.
Working closely with an experienced Financial Controller, this role offers hands-on training, clear progression, and full study support for someone looking to continue or begin their CIMA qualification.
The Role at a Glance
- £30,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience)
- AAT qualified / studying or looking to study CIMA
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
- Hybrid working (1 day per week from home)

About the Role
Part of a larger Group, this South Lakes-based business is looking to recruit a Management Accountant on a permanent basis. This role has been designed to develop the right person, offering exposure across month-end, reporting, and commercial finance, while being fully supported by senior finance leadership. You’ll gain valuable experience across the full management accounts process while being encouraged to grow, learn, and take on more responsibility over time.
Your New Role as Management Accountant
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting
- Supporting the production of board packs and financial analysis
- Providing ad hoc reports and analysis to support decision-making
- Working closely with stakeholders across the business, including non-finance teams
- Assisting with year-end processes and statutory reporting
- Opportunities to add value and progress responsibilities as experience grows
Experience & Qualifications Required
This role would suit someone who already has previous finance experience, ideally including some exposure to management accounts or month-end processes.
- AAT qualified (or equivalent experience), or currently studying
- Looking to progress towards CIMA
- Strong Excel skills and a willingness to learn
- Keen to join a business that will actively support development and progression
