As part of this evolution, a brand‑new opportunity has been created for a Finance Manager to join the business, reporting directly into a highly experienced Finance Director. This is a pivotal role offering the chance to shape financial processes, strengthen controls, and play a key part in supporting the organisation through its next phase of growth.
The Finance Manager will take ownership of day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial reporting. This role is central to maintaining strong financial governance, delivering high‑quality insight, and supporting operational and strategic decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting & Close Process
- Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes in line with strict timetables
- Review and approve journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure integrity of the general ledger and adherence to accounting standards
- Maintain fixed asset registers, including capitalisation and depreciation
- Oversee inventory accounting and reconciliation processes
- Manage lease accounting requirements (including IFRS 16)
- Ensure intercompany balances are reconciled and resolved promptly
- Controls, Governance & Compliance
- Maintain robust financial controls across all processes
- Oversee balance sheet governance and reconciliation quality
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
- Support internal and external audit processes
- Drive continuous improvement across finance systems and reporting
- Cashflow & Working Capital
- Lead the preparation of rolling cash flow forecasts
- Monitor and optimise working capital performance
- Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring strong controls and compliance
- Support effective cash management practices across the business
- Financial Planning & Operational Support
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Provide financial insight to support operational performance
- Strengthen controls across revenue, cost, and margin areas
- Leadership & Development
- Lead and develop a high‑performing finance function
- Manage workloads and priorities to meet deadlines
- Coach and develop capability through ongoing feedback and support
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
About You
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting standards
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders
- Advanced Excel and strong financial systems experience
Desirable
- Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
- Experience within multi‑site, operational, or project‑led environments
- Exposure to ERP systems or finance process improvements
