Are you ready to accelerate your finance career with one of the UK's most respected automotive brands? I'm working with a market-leading automotive company based in North Oxfordshire to recruit an experienced Finance Assistant to join their busy and high-performing finance team. This role will start on a temporary basis with the strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
As the successful Finance Assistant, you'll play a key role within one of the company's busiest divisions, taking ownership of core Accounts Payable activities while supporting the wider finance team with month-end processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Process all invoices accurately, ensuring they are correctly matched to purchase orders and updated on the ERP system.
- Manage supplier account set-ups and perform regular supplier statement reconciliations.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve any invoice or payment discrepancies.
- Review and manage open purchase orders, including GRNI.
- Support weekly and urgent payment requests.
- Assist the Management Accountant and Finance Manager with ad-hoc financial duties.
- Previous experience within a fast-paced Accounts Payable environment is essential.
- Confident user of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Capable of producing both financial and non-financial reports.
- An AAT qualification (or currently studying) is advantageous.
- Proactive, organised, and eager to develop within a leading business.
