Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing accountancy practice in Hitchin with the recruitment of an Audit Semi Senior / Audit Senior. This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA part-qualified professional with practice experience to join a supportive audit team.
Working with a varied portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, you will take ownership of audit assignments while continuing to develop your technical skills and progress your career within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Prepare audit files and working papers to a high professional standard
- Liaise directly with clients throughout the audit process
- Identify audit risks and communicate findings to managers
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
- ACA or ACCA part-qualified
- Minimum 3 years experience within a medium-size UK accountancy practice
- Experience leading audit assignments with minimal supervision
- Good understanding of UK auditing standards
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Previous experience supervising junior staff
- Knowledge of CaseWare (highly beneficial)
- Salary of £30,000 - £40,000 depending on experience
- Study support and professional development (where applicable)
- Hybrid working (after probation and dependent on experience)
