Role Responsibilities
  • Contributing to the planning, execution and completion of statutory audits for UK companies and groups.
  • Taking ownership of smaller audit assignments from start to finish, with appropriate support.
  • Preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102, including group and consolidation work.
  • Reviewing and supervising the work of junior team members during fieldwork.
  • Liaising directly with clients to resolve audit queries and agree adjustments.
  • Assisting with corporate tax computations for review by senior team members.
  • Supporting audit partners at finalisation meetings and during client discussions.
  • Getting involved in broader practice assignments such as due diligence, internal audit, systems reviews and valuation work.
  • Working on-site at client premises across London and Essex as required.
Personal Requirements
  • Part-qualified ACA or ACCA accountant.
  • Currently working within an accountancy practice with strong audit exposure.
  • Sound double-entry bookkeeping knowledge.
  • Working understanding of corporation tax, VAT and PAYE.
  • Up-to-date technical awareness of auditing and accounting standards.
  • Confident communicator, able to deal with clients and colleagues at different levels.
  • Well organised, able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Commercially minded with a client-focused approach to delivery.
