Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a distinguished and well established mid-tier accounting firm based in Southampton. This is a growing firm who are keen to appoint an ACA/ACCA studying semi-senior / senior accountant to complement and expand the existing accounts team.
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare client accounts/statutory accounts of partnerships and LLPs along with tax computations.
- Assist and participate in audit assignments at client sites.
- Draft Corporation Tax returns (CT600).
- Compile Profit and Loss accounts, balance sheets of assets and liabilities and trial balance.
- Prepare accounts.
- Draft reports covering financial statements, client business issues, systems and controls.
- Liaise closely with clients and other stakeholders, keeping the relevant manager/supervisor.
Qualifications
- At least 2+ years of practice accounting experience as a Semi-Senior/Trainee Accountant and ideally studying towards the ACA or ACCA qualification.
- Double entry accounting and bookkeeping skills.
- Statutory and management accounts preparation for UK entities.
- Proficient in a range of accounting software, ideally Caseware, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, Alphatax and CCH.
