Butler Rose public practice are excited to be supporting a modern and growing accountancy firm in Hampshire. This is a forward thinking firm who utilise state of the art technology to help their clients make the most of their finances and financial planning.
As a modern firm, they offer a hybrid, flexible working environment which focuses on output rather than hours. As such, take responsibility for your workload and ensure all work is completed efficiently and in advance of deadlines.
Main Duties
- Working in client focused team alongside a relationship manager and Client Finance Assistants
- Supporting the success of your portfolio of clients
- Overseeing the delivery of all services to your portfolio of clients including:
- Draft statutory financial statements
- Bookkeeping
- Management accounts
- Payroll
- CIS
- VAT
You will also be involved in audit work for a number of the firm’s audit clients.

About you
- An accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)/due to qualify within 6 months/Qualified by Experience
- Experience and working knowledge of bookkeeping, management accounts, statutory accounts and finance processes
- 4+ years’ experience working within an accountancy practice
- Strong computer skills, with strong experience in Excel
- Experience with cloud accounting systems (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Dext, GoProposal)
- Excellent client service skills, including the ability to build trust and rapport quickly, including experience of dealing with small business owners
- Staff management experience would be preferable, but not integral
