Accounts Assistant Manager

Butler Rose is pleased to be supporting our client, a leading firm of accountants with a history spanning nearly 150 years. The firm is looking for an Assistant Manager to join its Accounts team based in Cambridge. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to provide expert support to a diverse range of clients from owner-managed businesses, startups, retail, non-profit organisations, pharmaceuticals, individuals and families across various sectors.

Role Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations

• Supervise employees

• Review of accounts and tax work prepared by junior members of the team

• Ensure compliance and technical standards

• Manage accounting and tax assignments

• Accounts preparation

• Corporation tax returns and computations

• Build and maintain strong business relationships with new and existing clients

• ACA or ACCA qualified or soon-to-be qualified

• Experience of working with owner managed businesses and clients of varying size

• Good working knowledge of accounting software

• High professional standards of conduct

• Positive approach to problem solving

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy

• Ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver to strict timelines
