Finance Admin Assistant

Are you an experienced Finance Administrator with a strong background in purchase ledger? Looking for your next opportunity? This could be the perfect role for you!
We're looking for a proactive, organised and detail-focused Finance Admin Assistant to join a busy finance team in Kendal. Ideally, you'll have previous purchase ledger experience and be ready to hit the ground running.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process purchase ledger invoices, ensuring they are accurately coded, calculated and approved.
- Investigate and resolve supplier queries, liaising with suppliers where necessary.
- Maintain accurate supplier records and ensure bank details are verified.
- Support billing and recharge processes, including processing recharges and assisting with queries.
- Carry out general finance administration and support day-to-day departmental activities.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure transactions are processed efficiently.
- Provide wider support to the finance team as required.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in a finance administration role.
- Strong purchase ledger experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- The ability to investigate and resolve queries confidently.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Someone available to start immediately or at short notice would be ideal.
This is a great opportunity to join a finance team on an initial 6-month interim contract, with the potential for an extension or permanent position.
