Interim Systems Accountant Job, Devon

A well-established manufacturing business in Mid Devon is seeking an experienced Interim Systems Accountant to support a major finance systems implementation project and drive ongoing process improvements across the organisation.
Working closely with the Financial Controller and senior finance leadership team, you will play a key role in the implementation and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring the system delivers maximum value to the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the implementation and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
* Work alongside finance and operational stakeholders to ensure business requirements are accurately reflected within the system
* Engage in system testing, including UAT and process validation
* Identify and resolve issues throughout the implementation process
* Provide support and training to end users where required
* Act as a key finance systems contact during the go-live phase
* Drive post-implementation optimisation, identifying opportunities to improve reporting, controls and business processes
* Support wider finance transformation and continuous improvement projects across the business
About You
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Previous experience in a Systems Accountant, Finance Systems, Finance Transformation or Project Accountant role
* Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
* Proven track record of supporting ERP implementations, upgrades or optimisation projects
* Experience of systems testing, process mapping and stakeholder engagement
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across finance, operations and senior leadership teams
* Manufacturing sector experience would be preferred
