Butler Rose is recruiting a Financial Accountant for a growing, successful business in Exeter. This is a hybrid role offering 2 days in the office and 3 days remote working.
This role offers exposure to a varied workload, working with senior stakeholders and managing the preparation and review of financial reporting, statutory accounts and business-critical financial information. You'll join a collaborative team environment with excellent opportunities for professional development and progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records for a portfolio of entities.
- Review monthly and quarterly management accounts and financial reports.
- Prepare board reporting packs and support senior leadership meetings.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
- Produce half-year and annual statutory financial statements under UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Liaise with auditors and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Support and mentor junior team members.
- Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc finance projects.
About You
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified or finalist.
- At least three years' accounting experience within a commercial or professional environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- A collaborative team player with a positive, solutions-focused approach.
