The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining all Butler buildings to ensure an aesthetically pleasing learning environment. Responsibilities include preventive and regular maintenance on HVAC, Plumbing, minor Electrical, Cabinetry, Carpentry, Freight and Mail delivery, and Painting. This position reports to the General Maintenance Supervisor.

Hourly Rate: $17.55/hr

Qualifications

The applicant should have:

• Ability to maintain good working relationships
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to work independently
• Neat appearance and pride in workmanship
• Knowledge of horticulture, carpentry, general maintenance, and mechanical aptitude
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Good physical health, able to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid Kansas Driver’s license
• Basic computer skills (preferred)

Minimum of 3 years general maintenance experience in doors, hardware, carpentry, horticulture, plumbing, and/or HVAC.

Educational requirements include:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Relevant job experience or training in maintenance
