The hiring manager is seeking candidates with mechanical experience who can work from prints and utilize a computer. Ideal candidates have experience in sheet metal work, such as auto body repairs or boat repairs. Candidates should be skilled in using hand tools, reading blueprints, calipers, protractors, tape measures, and high gauges. They should have sheet metal forming skills, including bending, stretching with shrinking tools, dies, punching, and operating air grinders. The candidate must follow all safety guidelines, adhere to policies and procedures, be able to stand for long periods, work independently and in a team, possess problem-solving skills, be mechanically inclined, and have at least 3 years of related experience.
Responsibilities
- Heat Treat: Ability to work in hot and cold environments, lift over 20 pounds, stand for extended periods, set up and operate heat-treating furnaces for tempering, annealing, and age hardening, and record furnace times to ensure proper metal treatment.
- Cell 15: Experience with band saws, chop saws, table saws, drill presses, hand drills, hand routers, roll form machines, and ability to lift over 20 pounds and stand for long durations.
