Looking for a capable retail butcher. Must not be work shy. Daily routine will include cutting and packing for multidecks and serveover as well as counter service.
Duties:
- Prepare and cut meat products according to customer specifications and preferences.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of meat products to maintain freshness and quality.
- Operate and maintain butchering equipment and tools.
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and offering recommendations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a butcher or in a similar role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and food production.
- Familiarity with different cuts of meat and their uses.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects.
