Cover Staff- Nursery Practitioner in Edmonton, London

Position: Nursery Practitioner (Cover Role)
Location: Busy Kiddies Nursery, Edmonton, Enfield, London
Start Date: January 2026

Busy Kiddies Nursery is seeking a passionate and reliable Nursery Practitioner to join our friendly and dynamic team on a cover-only basis. This role is ideal for a flexible practitioner who enjoys supporting children\’s learning and development as needed. We welcome applicants with a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education.

Working Days & Hours (when covering):

• Monday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
• Tuesday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
• Overtime: Additional hours may be available upon request

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children\’s learning and development.
• Create a safe, caring, and stimulating environment where children feel secure and valued.
• Observe, assess, and record children\’s progress using Tapestry.
• Support children\’s emotional well-being and encourage positive behaviour.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
• Work collaboratively with the team to support daily routines and curriculum planning.
• Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development sessions when required.

Requirements:

• Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education (or equivalent).
• Previous nursery or childcare experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of child development, safeguarding, and the EYFS framework.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using Tapestry is an advantage.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to work.
• Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references.
