About The BUSY School… The BUSY School is part of The BUSY Group, a not-for-profit organisation providing employment services, vocational education and training, apprenticeships, mentoring, Inclusive Employment Support, and allied health services. The BUSY School is an independent Special Assistance School with 10 campuses across Queensland and New Zealand, providing an alternative program for Year 11 and 12 students who are disengaged or at risk of disengaging from education. Our program has expanded to include The BUSY School Online (TBSO) offering flexible access to our program for all students across Queensland.
Each campus provides a supportive and safe learning environment for young people by providing them with an education program that includes vocational education and training (VET), work experience and opportunities for school-based apprenticeships and traineeships. Our team supports the students to gain employability and transferability skills to increase their sense of wellbeing, resilience, belonging, academic achievement, career exploration and employment outcomes. Our focus is centred on re-engaging our students to learn, remain eligible for a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) and gain employment or further training outcomes upon graduation from Year 12.
About the position... Based at our Southport Campus, you will be re-engaging students and teaching English or Maths to the Year 11 or 12. This role is a permanent full-time position.

About you... A relevant teaching qualification, hold full registration or current provisional registration with eligibility for full registration as a Teacher in Queensland, and the ability to work within the curriculum of secondary education.
