About the Role…
BUSY At Work's Queensland State Manager is responsible for the overall success of the Australian Apprenticeship Support Services (AASS) division within the dedicated state or territory and, plays an integral part of the delivery of BUSY At Work’s AASS contract nationally. This role will ensure that BUSY At Work fulfils internal revenue and service targets as well as, contractual and other statutory requirements for the provision of Australian Apprenticeship Support Services within the state.
This leadership role is required to demonstrate an understanding of business development, financial management, marketing and people management to motivate teams to achieve and exceed Australian Apprenticeship Support Services Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as set by BUSY At Work and The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations (DEWR) within the dedicated state or territory.
This role is full time - fixed term until 30 June 2028 based in our Southport-NIND office with the ability to travel when required throughout the state.

Skills And Experiences
A bit about you...
- Ideally 5 years experience in a similar role within the industry
- High level of computer literacy
- High level leadership and financial acumen with demonstrated understanding of business process development and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, able to develop positive and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the national leadership team, to increase market share.
- Strong ability to actively manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve sustained success.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, motivate and manage teams to achieve organisational goals, including having difficult conversations and performance management.
- Demonstrated high-level business development skills and results oriented with a proven track record of successful client acquisition, preferably in the Australian Apprenticeships, broader VET and/or employment industries.
- Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check and National Police Check
