About the Role

The BUSY Group is expanding its educational footprint globally, opening new schools, building new learning models, and designing fresh pathways for students who need flexible, future-focused education. We’re looking for a Curriculum Architecture Lead who can turn strategy into practice and build curriculum models that teachers can confidently deliver from day one. This is a role for a designer, a thinker, a problem-solver and a collaborator. You’ll translate educational strategy, accreditation requirements, student needs and delivery constraints into practical curriculum frameworks, teaching models, assessment approaches, learning sequences and implementation materials used across multiple jurisdictions.

What you’ll lead:

• Curriculum framework design — Build curriculum and pedagogical models for new schools, learning entities and BUSY Group initiatives.
• Regulatory translation — Turn accreditation, compliance and curriculum requirements into practical structures, sequences and assessment models.
• Operational curriculum design — Shape curriculum in real-world terms: timetables, staffing, delivery modes, learning resources and student support needs.
• Pedagogical model development — Create frameworks that support consistent teaching practice and high-quality learning experiences.
• Documentation & implementation — Produce clear teaching guidance, assessment frameworks, learning resources and professional learning materials.
• Stakeholder collaboration — Work with school leaders, teachers, compliance teams, technology teams and new-school establishment teams to ensure curriculum is practical, teachable and sustainable.
• Risk & constraint analysis — Identify workload pressures, timetable constraints, specialist staffing needs and implementation risks — and provide clear recommendations.
• Continuous improvement — Adapt existing frameworks for new jurisdictions, cohorts and delivery settings.

This is a Southport-based role with the flexibility to work from home as part of our hybrid model.

Skills And Experiences About You

If you thrive in complexity, love building clarity, and want your work to directly shape teaching practice and student outcomes, this role offers the perfect blend of design, leadership and impact. You will show capability in:

• Experienced curriculum designer with strong capability across diverse education settings, particularly focused on Secondary Education.
• Deep knowledge of pedagogy, assessment and learning design and the ability to turn intent into practical teaching guidance.
• Operationally minded, able to design curriculum that works in real classrooms — timetables, staffing, delivery modes and teaching load.
• Exceptional written communicator who produces clear, practical curriculum and accreditation documentation.
• Strong judgement and problem-solving, able to navigate ambiguity and identify risks early.
• Collaborative stakeholder partner, confident working with teachers, leaders, regulators and operational teams.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in education, curriculum or learning design.
• Proven experience developing curriculum, learning sequences, assessment models or teaching materials.
• Comfort with learning technologies and adapting curriculum across different contexts.
