With multiple business entities operating across 100+ locations Australia-wide and now in New Zealand and the United Kingdom, we offer an extensive range of employment services and programs, vocational training, apprenticeships, mentoring, Inclusive Employment Australia, specialist schools and allied health services.
As a Mentor working in our Workforce Australia GEN Contract, you will provide pre-employment support to improve the work-readiness of customers and assist them into sustainable work or education. You will conduct assessments to identify barriers and provide direction and support to ensure their journey into appropriate and sustainable employment. Engage and refer job-ready participants to our Recruitment Partner and assist them with their barriers by referring them to community organisations. You will work closely with customers by supporting them with job search activities including interview coaching, budgeting and resume preparation along with matching participants to current vacancies. This role is based at our Ayr Office full time, fixed term until June 2027 with the possibility of extension, working 8:30am-5pm on Monday-Friday.

Responsibilities:
- Create detailed action plans that establish a customer’s employment and lifestyle goals
- MOTIVATE and EMPOWER our clients through their employment journey
- Identify and develop customer capability and facilitate appropriate referrals
- Maintain regular contact and provide ongoing support to customers
- Lead our community into educating them through your self-guided workshops
- Record all actions within the required timeframes, ensuring all schedules are maintained regularly with documentary evidence
Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in creating development plans and following up on the progress
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to adapt style to suit the audience
- High level of computer literacy
- Ability to obtain a Blue Card and National Police Check with no outcomes
- Candidates with relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience within the Coaching and Mentoring or a similar type of sector are highly desirable
