Weβre working with our client to find a dependable and motivated Stores Assistant to join their warehouse and logistics team. This hands-on role offers plenty of variety, where your day-to-day responsibilities will help ensure the smooth running of operations across the site.
Key duties will include:
- Receiving and booking in deliveries
- Organising and storing stock accurately
- Supporting with inventory checks
- Assisting with order picking and packing when needed
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Duties will include:
- Move raw materials and finished products internally and to other departments with accurate documentation and labelling.
- Handle product movement and storage manually and via company software; load/unload delivery vehicles while monitoring KPIs.
- Pick and deliver Job Orders to Production on time, report discrepancies, and update ERP for stock accuracy.
- Conduct efficient and accurate perpetual inventory counts and timely rechecks when needed.
- Assist with packing SPRS and Consumable orders according to procedures and notify logistics for dispatch.
- Support final packing of Instruments, organise crates, and pick customer peripherals for shipment.
Key skills and attributes required:
- Previous experience in stores is an advantage but not required.
- Collaborative team player eager to learn and develop.
- Ideally holds GCSE qualifications, particularly in Maths and English.
- Competent in using Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems effectively.
- Clear and confident communicator.
- Skilled at managing multiple tasks and meeting tight deadlines.
