We’re looking for a Field Based Engineer to travel across the UK, inspecting mechanical and pressure systems and keeping clients compliant and confident! We are seeking candidates who have experience in inspecting and maintaining plant equipment/mechanical systems who are looking for a new challenge!
You will carry out thorough site inspections, spot potential issues before they escalate, and ensure everything meets the standards of PSSR 2000. It’s a hands-on, people-facing role with plenty of variety – no two days are the same!
What our client offers:
- Conducting inspections of pressure systems at client sites, ensuring full compliance with PSSR 2000
- Producing high-quality electronic reports and written schemes of examination using an online portal.
- Liaising with internal teams and client contacts to coordinate inspection activities
- Identifying potential defects and offering technical recommendations to prolong asset life
- Supporting the planning and scheduling of inspections to maintain service standards
- Assisting installation teams on site when needed and promoting best practices in safety and quality
What we are looking for:
- Experience in inspecting and maintaining mechanical plant equipment
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently on site
- Comfortable with regular UK-wide travel and overnight stays when required
- Full UK driving licence
