The predicted salary is between 24000 - 33000 £ per year.

We are currently working on behalf of a well-established engineering company in Cambridge who are currently going through company growth and are looking to take on an Electro-Mechanical Assembler. You will have great attention to detail, following specific technical drawings, assembling products to a high standard.

Start: ASAP

Hours: 39 Hours Per Week (Flexi working). Core hours are 10:00am – 15:00pm – You can start between 06:00am and finish ideally no later than 18:00pm.

Location: Cambridge

Duration: Permanent

Salary: Up to £33,000 Per Annum

Duties:

  • To test and fault find issues with RMAs. Where appropriate advise Area manager of material and time/cost to repair the returned unit.
  • Fault find problems on PCBs to component level. Rework to an IPC standard.
  • Assembly of mechanical & electrical components.
  • To look for and actively progress opportunities for continuous improvement within the production environment, especially in the assembly area.
  • Soldering & wiring.
  • Carry out administrative tasks when required.
  • Communicate clearly with assembly manager on any faults.
  • Ensure that health & safety precautions are followed and standards of cleanliness and tidiness are maintained.
  • Check and maintain tools and equipment.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Electro-Mechanical, Soldering or Assembly experience.
  • Computer literate, with experience of ERP or MRP operating systems. Able to use Microsoft packages to an intermediate level of expertise.
  • Ambition to want to grow within an organisation.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Have a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Team player.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Problem solver.
